I Woke Up, On the Moon

C... E7...    Am      g bass..  F...    g bass..     C..

I fell asleep and dreamed I took a giant leap then I woke up on the Moon

In the sky a blue balloon floated by and I realised that I was on the moon

E7...                  Am...

For I could see the coast of Africa

and all the clouds in all the skies

C... E7...    Am      g bass..  F...    g bass..     C..

And round and round the world I flew

 I had a clue

 That it was true

 And then I knew

That I was on the moon

I called my mum  I had to tell someone what I had done  And that her son was on the moon

I tried to say, I was OK but I was very far away a castaway astray upon the moon

And I could see the coast of Africa

and all the clouds in all the skies

So here I was, in outer space

alone on this old lonely place

 I was displaced

 misplaced upon the moon

 Am...          g bass  F...

And on my feet were giants shoes

         Dm     c bass...          g bass  F...

So I could walk the way that heroes used to do

Every step I took was new

Every footprint left a point of view

 So here I'll rest

Back on Earth I tried my best

 I guess I'm now a guest

  upon the moon

 Diamond jewels in velvet sky

I'll watch as heaven floats on by

 Now that I

 m'up high

  upon the moon

And I can see the coast of Africa

and all the clouds in all the skies

Now I've got no-place else to go

So I'll just sit and watch the show

 No-one knows

that I'm still on the moon

 yeah yeah yeah

  Marooned

  upon on the moon

 They left me

  all alone

   upon the moon
